These days, a lot of researchers make a study of AI and some companies introduce it. For example, “Toripota Thank”, ramen restaurant, introduces AI to remember all of the faces of customers. If customers show their faces to AI before they purchase meal coupon, then according to how many they come to the store, they can add a topping. There is a case which shows that AI is useful for clerk’s work. In a bakery, if customers place bread on a tray and put it under the camera, AI distinguish kinds of bread and calculate on amount of money. According to these cases, the Japanese government should promote AI.
The first reason why Japanese government should use AI is that AI is useful in modern society. According to recent research, the number of people in Japan continues decreasing these days. If AI develops, it can deal with this problem. This is because AI can work instead of humans. Thus, developing AI is first step to develop modern society.
Second, there is a matter that a lot of food are abandoned now. I think that AI can cope with this problem. This is because AI is able to estimate demand of consumer. In other words, AI can estimate the amount of food which we need to abandon. Therefore, the more we use AI,
the less we abandon them.
Some people think that the Japanese government should not promote it because there are several reasons.
First, AI may deprive humans of works. According to the research of OECD, some professions will not be treated by humans in the future. As a result, the number of people who do not have their occupation will be increasing. It will cause loss of motivation. Thus, people who think that AI has a negative impact on works are afraid of losing their post.
In conclusion, there are many opinions about AI. I suggest a solution. It is to cooperate AI in the office. Although ability of humans is inferior to that of AI, there are things that AI cannot do on behalf of humans. For example, expressing feelings, thinking about feelings of other person and so on. From another point of view, we can think that AI create new jobs. For example, engineers of creating AI, the person to control AI. The article of Caroline says that the number of jobs given by AI is about 20. If we do not compete with AI, we make a better society from now on.
